These services impart superior protection – improved corrosion resistance and/or better insulation properties – to components used in a wide and growing range of aerospace and military applications. Colonial Coatings uses of state-of-the-art coatings and advanced surface-sealing materials. Founded in 1982 with the vision to provide specialty coatings services to aerospace industries, Colonial has worked with numerous industry leaders. Colonial now serves nearly every major prime aerospace contractor and has grown to serve the military business sector as well. Customers include Allied Signal, General Electric, Hamilton Sundstrand, Honeywell, Lucas Aerospace, Parker-Hannifin, Pratt & Whitney, PWA Canada, Rolls Royce, and Sikorsky Aircraft. Colonial is one of only four sources for HAE anodizing in the United States. A minority-owned company, Colonial Coatings offers a complete line of coating and surface-sealing solutions. The company is NADCAP certified for plasma spray and thermal spray coatings, paint and surface sealing, and magnesium anodizing. NADCAP is the cooperative industry effort to improve quality while reducing costs, for quality assurance within the aerospace and defense industries.
